I can hear the walk through the seasons across the album. But Jordan's style is a lot more different than the rest of the producers on the album anyway. I think Feel No Ways was most memorable for myself for production. Every producer did an amazing job as usual, I was really expecting that though.

Both the rap and sung parts are so infectious and I love that bass.Īfter three full listens there's things I'll say that I believe firmly. One early favorite hook has got to be "Faithful" - I heard the leak but still love that two-part hook. One early favorite moment for me is when he really belts it out toward the end of "U With Me?" - A lot of niggas cut the cheque so they can take this flow (!!!). One small disappointment is that while I liked the opening track (so happy to hear him back over instrumentation like that! - reminiscent of "Fear"), it didn't have the usual "oomph" for me that his last three openers have had ("Over My Dead Body", "Tuscan Leather", & "Legend). Since there was so much hype and pressure for this project, I think he might be able to move on to experimenting more on the next one with lower expectations. I understand some initial criticisms that it felt like he played it a bit safe, but that didn't really hurt the album for me at least - he's right in his comfort zone doing what he does better than anyone else. I think there was a little less experimenting than I expected, but I'm okay with that - I think it caps off the musical progression of his last three solo projects nicely. I personally liked the amount of features they had, I know some were disappointed but I felt all of them seemed to be used wisely and Drake had plenty of space to do his thing. 40's increased presence (compared to IYRTITL) is noticeable and really solidifies the album, the production is on-point as ever thanks to him and the other production contributors. I'm really glad to see some of the updated Take Care-type tracks, I wasn't quite expecting so much of that - but it all feels current, not like he's lost the progress he's made musically. Drizzy albums usually just wash over me the first few listens and take a number of days for me to fully take in. Really enjoying it so far, but I haven't listened enough to get a firm grasp of it.
